1 · Register
Create your operator account and confirm your email address. Existing operators must register within six months of the policy taking effect.
2 · Apply & Pay ₹5,000
Apply against a notified site with your activities, staff, equipment and documents, and pay the non-refundable ₹5,000 registration fee.
3 · UPSTDC Examination
The Adventure Sports Unit examines the application and may raise queries. All applications are disposed of within 60 days.
4 · Registration Certificate
UPSTDC grants the certificate, valid five years. It does not permit commercial operation. Refusal is appealable to the Principal Secretary within 30 days.
5 · Build the Site
Set up the infrastructure and facilities for safe operation, complete the self-declaration checklist, and tell UPSTDC the site is ready.
6 · District Inspection
UPSTDC forwards the application to your District Magistrate, who schedules an inspection against a standard 26-point safety checklist.
7 · License Issued
On a satisfactory inspection you pay the ₹2,000 licence fee and the District Magistrate issues the License, valid five years. Only now may you operate.
8 · Renewal
Apply at least two months before expiry. Reminders are sent at 90, 60 and 30 days. Late renewal attracts ₹1,000 per day from the date of expiry.
